Tell Me: Season 2 Episode #11 We Can Do It and We Did! with Rosie the Riveter Mae Krier and Cass Forkin of Twilight Wish
Meet Mae Krier, 95, one of the youngest of the original Rosie's, when she was hired by Boeing in Seattle, WA, to work as a riveter building B-17 and B-29 bombers.
,
One of Mae's lifelong wishes was for the Rosie the Riveters to have their own national day of recognition. When Twilight Wish, an organization that grants wishes for seniors heard about it, it was full steam ahead.
Thus began a series of incredible events that launched greater awareness and worldwide appreciation and respect for the women of the Rosie the Riveters wartime efforts.
Join me on the path with Mae Krier and Cass Forkin, Founder of Twilight Wish, as they share this powerful story of how one dream brought two total strangers together. You will hear how their courage, resilience and grit transformed the world's perception of women, and the difference and impact they can make, forever.
